"Over the past several years I've enjoyed the unique opportunity of simultaneously designing a series of area rugs while developing a parallel series of paintings, both endeavors influencing the other and based on natural plant and rock forms. I am interested in the way I can develop vertical and horizontal surfaces to unify a space. The rugs are of superior quality, luxuriously dense wool and tufted by hand locally."

Martha Enzmann's work includes painting, design, sculpture, photography and performance work. Together, Martha and her husband Tom Sternal, design interior spaces, combining his sculptural furnishings with her rugs and paintings. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she was honored as Alumna of the year in 1999. Her work is included in many public and private collections throughout the U.S. She works out of their studio in Todd, North Carolina.
